Kylie Tuffney

Tuffney Performing Arts was set up by Kylie Tuffney in the summer of 2008; with a lot of determination, perseverance and courage Kylie has now created a performing arts academy which will serve the community for many years to come. Kylie is an experienced award winning dancer, she has been dancing since she could crawl and has always had a real passion for dance which is reflected in her students. Kylie began her dance training in Ballet, Tap and Modern where she worked through the graded examinations, winning performance medals, competitions and festivals along the way, in 1996 Kylie won the prize for 'Best Modern Dancer', Reading Festival and more recently the 'Outstanding Achievement' Award.

Kylie began to extend her training, in Contemporary and Street Dance and went on to study GCSE and A-level dance achieving grades in the top 5% in the country. She then went on to further training in dance at the Urdang Academy and Birkbeck University. Alongside her training Kylie also studied the I.S.T.D. teaching qualifications which has allowed her to teach extra curricular dance in both state and private schools.

Claire Lewis

Claire graduated from Laine Theatre Arts in 2009 with a diploma in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre. She then went on to work as a dancer and model for 5 years where her credits include Adidas, Plan B, Vidal Sassoon, I.D Magazine, MTV and a number of independent music videos. It was during this time she found her passion for teaching and inspiring young people. For 8 years she has taught children of all ages and levels at various studios and is currently studying for her ISTD qualifications  Claire is extremely excited to be part of the team at Tuffney Performing Arts and hopes her extensive experience and love of teaching spreads the joy of dance to all!

Street Dance Teacher

Lewis Haywood

Lewis describes his 15 years experience in the dance industry as incredible! From his hard work and training Lewis has performed in a number of shows including: Swan Theatre Panto, Olympics Closing Ceremony and Chiswick Theatre Annual Show.  To stay at the top of his game Lewis has taken a number of classes with leading choreographers at the following companies; Pineapple Dance Studios, Studio 68, Tavazia Boron Company, Urban Strides, Wycombe Youth Action and Urdang Academy. Graduating at CTA College, Lewis received valuable techniques from West end and Broadway performers. Now he wishes to inspire and motivate others through the power of dance!

Street and Contemporary Teacher

Eden Ousby

Eden has competed at a high level of Street Dance across the UK & Scotland, with renowned east London Hip Hop crew IMD Legion created by choreographer Omar Ansah-Awuah. After qualifying for the Hip Hop International Finals in Arizona USA, she was incredibly grateful to have been invited to perform at incredible events and venues such as; MOVE IT (Excel London) Avant Garde Presents Collabo (Stratford Circus Arts Centre) I AM BAD (02 Indigo Greenwich).

 

Television credits include; Big School (BBC) All About The Mckenzies (ITV) Little Big Shots (ITV) X Factor (ITV).  Most recently, She has experienced great opportunities working on various TV pilots, performed at the London Palladium Theatre, and even featured in a music video for French artists KYO reaching nearly 3 Million views on Youtube. 

 

Eden has a great passion for teaching and is excited to join the faculty nurturing the growing talent at Tuffney Performing Arts.
