Tuffney Youth Dance Company is a community based non-profit organisation working in Bucks, young people aged between 10 and 25 years are invited to audition for the company and gifted dancers are offered a place to join the company for a year completely free of charge and represent Tuffney in events across the country.
The company was founded in March 2008 by 6 young dancers who wanted to form their own unique dance company with the ethos to create more performance opportunities for young people and to make dance more accessible to the community, which inspired the motto . . . AIM HIGH
The dancers trained together, taught each other their skills and all choreographed together to create several dance works. They debuted in a music video ‘Girls Need More by Hotta Flames’ and since performed at many different events and dance platforms both nationally and internationally.
We hope our passion for dance gives inspiration to others that they may follow in our footsteps . . . anything is achievable if you have the heart for it!
Kylie Tuffney, Artistic Director
